About Fun Florida Tours
We are a small, family-run tour company based in Bradenton, Florida. We built this site because the question we hear most often on the beach is "what is this one?" — so here is the answer, along with the tour where you can find out for yourself.
What we do
Our main tours are guided LED night shelling tours and LED night clear kayak tours. On the shelling tour, guests wade in from shore with a guide, the group searches the bottom under one bright LED light pod, and after an hour in the water everyone gathers on the sand for 15 minutes of show-and-tell. It runs nightly at 8:30 PM, weather permitting, at three beaches:
- Siesta Key – 1460 Siesta Dr, Sarasota-side bridge parking lot
- Sarasota – City Island Park, 1799 Ken Thompson Pkwy
- Anna Maria Island – King Fish boat ramp, 752 Manatee Ave, Holmes Beach
We also run clear kayak tours at Siesta Key, Sarasota, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key and Venice.

Who the tour is for
Families with kids, first-time snorkelers, and anyone who likes picking up shells. The water stays under 4 feet deep, you do not need to be a strong swimmer, and every guest wears a safety noodle, whistle and glow stick. All gear is provided. Children 5 and under join free with a parent (booked by text, with their own life jacket and water shoes).
How we treat the beach
Empty shells are yours to keep. Anything alive — a horse conch, a sand dollar with its fuzz on, a moon snail's sand collar — gets looked at, talked about, and put back. Our guides know the rules and follow them, so you can enjoy the hunt without worrying.

Come find shells with us
Three beaches, one 75-minute tour, every night the weather allows. Pick your location and a date, and we will see you on the sand 20 minutes before 8:30.
Fun Florida Tours runs a guided night shelling and snorkeling tour in shallow Gulf water at Siesta Key, Sarasota and Anna Maria Island. You wade in from shore with a guide, the group shares one bright LED light pod that lights up the bottom, and the water stays under 4 feet deep, so you do not need to be a strong swimmer. After 60 minutes in the water we spend 15 minutes on the sand for show-and-tell, where guides name everything the group found. Empty shells are yours to keep; anything alive goes back.
